ILFORD ORTHO PLUS Copy Film is a medium speed fine grain film suitable for studio photography, continuous tone copying, medical and forensic applications. It is available in popular sheet film sizes. ORTHO PLUS can be developed to a normal contrast in ILFORD ID-11 or ILFORD MICROPHEN and to a high contrast in ILFORD PQ UNIVERSAL and ILFORD PHENISOL. ORTHO COPY PLUS Film can be developed in dishes under red safelighting.

Copy films tend to be of two general types: normal contrast films for copying continuous tone originals, and high contrast (“line”) films for copying text, line drawings, and diagrams. Both types are fine grained, relatively slow, and usually sensitive to only blue or blue and green light.

ILFORD ORTHO PLUS is a sheet film which can be used for both continuous tone and line copying. The contrast required by the subject is achieved by selecting an appropriate developer and development conditions. ORTHO PLUS is orthochromatic (sensitive to blue and green light), so it can be handled briefly under dark red safelights.
